We currently offer three mailing list options. You can subscribe to the first two as you wish, the third is limited to members of the dharma classes and dharma teachers. Exceptions are possible though.
Mailing lists are simply a way of distributing messages to many people easily. It also allows for discussions to take place with everyone participating. Some lists are "Moderated", which means that many people will get the messages on the list, but only a handful can post them. How busy a mailing list is can be described as volume. On some high volume lists you could receive hundreds of emails a day. We do not have those here. Our Sangha list averages a few sporadic discussions a few times a month. Our announcement lists are even fewer as they strictly announce events and important information.

This is our online discussion list. People use this list to share information, ask for guidance, get opinions or generally discuss living the dharma. This is pretty low volume - expect only a few flurries of email a year. Hopefully this will increase.

People subscribed to this list receive announcements about activites at Hai-an pagoda and surrounding areas. Only a few people are allowed to post here. Subscribers can submit information, but it will be slightly delayed until a moderator approves it. Please subscribe here and post notices about dharma related activities if you hear of them.
